In June 2004, Mr Laloo Parsad Yadav became Railways Minister of India. Immediately after assuming office, his first order was to replace Kulhars (earthern pots) at all Railways Stations and trains. A dip in kulhars gives the feel of Anglo-Indian tea. He did it to attain popularity among kumhars. He overlooked as to they wont be able to supply it. In Haryana alone, they need about 1 lac kulhars. These are costlier, difficult to carry. Even the particular clay that is used to make these kulhars is not available in plenty. At times, these may be smelly too.
